pricing (not the cheapest shared hosting service for WP)
Summary
HAPPY CUSTOMER REVIEW:
After few years of our highly positive experiences with SiteGround hosting we decided to make a review about GoGeek plan we use and happily share it with you. GoGeek hosting plan was our choice as we needed to host multiple websites with premium features & superior support.
We are confident to recommend SG shared hosting by all means: their servers with SSD disks are very fast, highly secured, with advanced integrated services (backup, advanced caching, staging, CloudFlare CDN, etc.), especially in GoGeek shared hosting package we currently use.
We are very happy to have found a host that gives us exactly what we need and within our budget with even increasing hosting features over the years without increasing pricing.
We really don't like to change hostings. It's a nightmare - we experienced that when we transferred many sites to SiteGround in 2013. from Arvixe hosting, a few months after they were bought by EIG group and the quality of their services started to decrease. That's why we are satisfied we found SiteGround and chose them as our long-term hosting and business partner

Our SiteGround review – constant SG investments in speed
implement fast SSD drives in all their plans to enable your sites loading faster
constantly optimize and fine tune their servers to make them running faster
created native SuperCacher plugin for caching your site and speed it up
integration of free CDN (Content Delivery Network, CloudFlare) so your site load faster for international visitors
support the latest software versions (e.g. PHP 7.x) for speeding up & making your site more secured
enable SG SuperCacher plugin to be compatible with premium WP Rocketcaching plugin thus additionally boosting your site’s speed
Server security is one of SG top priorities – they perform many security measures to keep servers and our websites secure. So far we didn’t need any special Premium security plugins/service.SiteGround implemented zero-day update(SG alerts us on update of the system the same day patch is released) or their security team assemble a special rule for their application firewall that will protect those who have not been updated to the latest versions immediately.
We are using security plugins such as All in one security and firewall and that plugin, along with the following WP hardening codexrules and SiteGround efforts, were enough so far to protect us and clients sites.
Our SiteGround review – awesome support experience
From time to time we have a few smaller issues for which we have to contact SGSupport. On live chat they respond within a few minutes and solve those smaller things/answer questions very fast & efficiently.
If we have to open the support ticket, it is solved in average one or two hours by knowledgeable technicians. That is why SiteGround 24/7/365 Support is one of the best hosting supports out there: customer friendly and responsive. SG constantly invests in supporting processes & people development.
Some other important hosting attention points in this SiteGround review
you must choose appropriate SiteGround hosting plan taking into consideration: your future traffic and number of websites/ folders/ files you will have on your account (inode)
you must monitor your CPU usage as CPU limits (number of executions per month) like on all shared hostings. Reason for this is that other users on the same shared hosting do not suffer in speed and bandwidth. It could be an issue if you run site with high traffic or you didn’t optimize it properly so it uses a lot of CPU processor power. You can solve this issue by properly optimizing your site and/or upgrade your plan.
the back-end interface of the user area could require from you a bit of adjustments as it is not so much “user friendly”, especially if you are not accustomed to cPanel usage
SiteGround initial hosting plans prices are really affordable, but after initial billing period is over (one, two or more years), their prices raises and you must be aware of that before you initially commit yourself.
Useful advices for transferring your site(s) to SiteGround
do not cancel your current hosting before your site(and domain, if you choose so) are transferred to your new hosting
possible options for domain and site transfer from the old hosting to SiteGround:
1) transfer both (domain and site) to SiteGround hosting
2) transfer site to SiteGround hosting and keep the domain on old hosting
3) transfer site to new hosting and transfer domain to dedicated domain company(like Namecheap) – preferred option
Conclusion: SiteGround GoGeek – THE shared hosting plan
Despite the flaws that every hosting has, SiteGround GoGeek plan is the closest to a perfect solution for individual bloggers, small businesses and freelancers that want excellent hosting with 24/7/365 high quality support. A big plus is human face of SiteGround – hard working and knowledgeable people behind SG. They constantly improve hosting hardware and software features and in the same time increasing support services (see numbers below).
